Marie Davidson is a Polaris Prize nominated Montreal based electronic musician, singer, songwriter and DJ. She has released five solo albums under her own name and many more with other projects such as Essaie pas, Marie Davidson & L’Oeil nu, DKMD, SLEAZY and Les momies de Palerme. She has released on international music labels such as Ninja Tune, Cititrax (Minimal Wave), DFA Records and Holodeck Records, among others. Her music explores the creative possibilities of hardware material and software. She produces music in a wide range of styles including Club Music, Ambient, Techno, Pop, Rock and Spoken Poetry. Her work is introspective, sometimes qualified as dark and heavy, yet humorous.
